Schow's Ranchette offers summer camps each year.  This year will have several different camps.  There will be 2-hour 1-day Youth Empowerment Day; 2-hour 2-day Farm Day Camp; 4-hour 4-day Beginning Horse Camps; 4-hour 4-day Gymkhana Speed Event Camp; 4-hour 4-day Jumping Camp and a 4- hour 4-day Driving Camp.  

YOUTH EMPOWERMENT DAYS

Empowerment days are a 2-hour 1-day activity that introduce youth to horses and the power that comes from working with these magnificent animals. Youth will learn about caring for, handling and being around horses.  There will be different age groups of 5-9; 10-14, 15 and older.

June 28, 2023 8am-10am age group 10-14

July 10, 2023 8am-10am age group 10-14

                         10:30am-12:30pm age group 15 and up

                         1:00pm-3:00pm age group 5-9

Cost is $40

FARM DAY CAMPS

Farm camps are appropriate for kids all ages.  They are 2-hour 2-day camp that introduce children to a small farm.  They will learn about gardening and plants; have interactions with small farm animals like chickens, ducks, goats, and sheep, and learn what they provide; games, and crafts.  This is a fun, busy, educational camp.

HORSE CAMPS

Are intensified group horsemanship riding lessons that teach students how to evaluate, care for, handle and ride horses safely. Lesson topics include but are not limited to, horse care, ground skills, grooming, saddling, and riding. Camps run for four hours at a time (8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.), four days a week (Monday - Thursday).
